Course Description

Students for the Media Engineering Certificate learn and explore production techniques and work practices inherent in the Film, Television & Music Industries with an emphasis being placed on 'a hands on' approach. It provides a comprehensive introduction to Film,Television, Sound Engineering & Live Event Production. The course establishes fundamental technical and production competencies in a number of complimentary areas while encouraging students to develop and explore their individual creative interests. This curriculum structure ensures the students scope for the development of a broad range of creative abilities.

Minimum Entry Requirements

Junior Cert. or equivalent and/or relevant life and work experience. Applications are welcome from mature students.

Certification

FETAC Media Engineering Certificate EMEXX (8 FETAC Level 5 Awards).

Progression

This award may be used to progress on to IT Colleges nationwide. Successful completion of this course will also facilitate entry to Level 6 and 7 courses in related areas.
